Graiguenamanagh Library

Graiguenamanagh is located on the River Barrow, at the foot of Brandon Hill and Graiguenamanagh Library is situated on Convent Road, beside the medical Centre. It is Kilkenny’s first purpose-built library, and was opened in 1988. Graiguenamanagh Library is open plan, with a large collection of adult and children’s books, newspapers, audiobooks, games and DVDs, as well as printing and photocopying services, study spaces, magic table, public computers and Wi-Fi.
The library also provides access to a dedicated collection of Local Studies materials to help our borrowers explore the rich local heritage and history of the area.
With friendly and welcoming staff and regular events such as storytimes, book clubs, class visits and educational workshops the library caters to all ages and interests. We also host a number of talks and workshops throughout the year on a variety of topics that includes Art, Biodiversity, History and Technology.
Graiguenamanagh Library is a vibrant hub for information, inspiration, and connection. It is a vital third space for the community in Graiguenamanagh.

Location

Graiguenamanagh Library is situated 18 miles from Kilkenny City. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes travel time from Kilkenny.
Entering Graiguenamanagh, at roundabout take the 1st exit onto Upper Main Street - R703. Take first left and then first right on to Convent road. Graiguenamanagh library and car park is situated on your left.
