Housed in a beautifully restored courthouse dating back to 1840, Urlingford Library has been a vibrant hub for learning and connection since its transformation into a public library in 1996. Our heritage building combines historic charm with modern facilities proudly serving the people of Northwest Kilkenny and surrounding areas. We provide an extensive collection of books, newspapers, audiobooks, DVDs, and games. Essential services, such as printing, photocopying, public computers, and free Wi-Fi. Comfortable spaces, including study areas, meeting rooms, and quiet corners for reflection. With friendly staff and a calendar of engaging events, story-times, chess club, class visits, and educational workshops, Urlingford Library caters to all ages and interests.

Urlingford Library is situated approximately 18 miles north-west of Kilkenny City, it is located 500 metres from the Urlingford exit on the M8 motorway in the refurbished former Courthouse.
