Little Book at Bedtime
The Little Book at Bedtime initiative runs from October to the end of November 2025.
All families with a child aged 0-4 are invited to visit their local library during October and November to receive a FREE bedtime story book and library card wallet. This exciting initiative aims to engage all parents of young children to read stories with them at bedtime.
If your child is not currently a member, we welcome you to sign them up for a free library membership when you visit the library, or online at www.kilkennylibrary.ie (please bring a guardian’s photo ID and proof of address for new accounts).
The Little Book at Bedtime initiative is part of the First 5 Strategy (https://www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/5d81e-about-first5/) , in collaboration with public libraries and the Local Government Management Agency.
