City Library, John’s Quay will close on Saturday April 6th at 1.30pm to facilitate the move to our new Mayfair Library in Parliament St.
The Carnegie Library has served the people of Kilkenny well since its foundation in 1910, but we now look forward to welcoming you soon to our new spacious modern library in the Mayfair.
Please note some changes in place in the interim:
- Regular services will be available at all other Kilkenny libraries
- There will be a ‘Returns Box’ outside the John’s Quay Library Monday-Friday 10am-4.30pm
- Telephone queries are welcome at Library HQ 7794160, John’s Quay Library 7794174, and Loughboy Library 7794176
- Requests and Reservations can be collected at Loughboy. Please contact library-staff to check before you travel.
- The closest library is Loughboy, situated in the Loughboy Shopping Centre. The opening hours are Tues-Thurs 10am-5pm & Fri 10am-8pm
- All loans will be extended until the new library opens.
