Hello-how-are-you-logo_  Hello How Are You?

Kilkenny Library Service will be taking part in the Hello how are you campaign with Mental Health Ireland on March 30th this year.

Hello, How Are You? is a campaign about connection and engaging in open conversations about mental health. The campaign asks individuals, communities, workplaces, friends & family to say Hello and ask the question ‘How Are You?’ in a meaningful way. Asking this small question and having one conversation can make a real difference in someone’s life. Creating, maintaining and staying connected with others helps tackle loneliness, creates a sense of belonging and purpose and builds relationships.

MHU-2023_ The Irish Heart Foundation mobile unit will visit Castlecomer library on Wednesday June 7th .

The Irish Heart Foundations Mobile Health Unit offers free blood pressure and pulse checks to groups and communities across Ireland. This service is entirely free of charge.

Our Mobile Health Unit has two private consultation rooms with a nurse available in each room to provide heart health information and do free blood pressure and pulse checks.  The one-to-one advice offered by the nurse is a vital part of this check. Each person receives a personal record card with their results and in the event of any abnormal results is advised to follow up with their GP.
