Castlecomer Library News, October 2017

“Where old ghosts meet” is a tribute in poetry and song to Patrick Kavanagh on the 50th anniversary of his death. Join Jimmy Rhatigan at 7pm on Tuesday 31st October in Castlecomer Library. Free.

 

Toddlers and their parents or carers, are welcome to join our story time  session on Wednesday mornings from 11.30 – 12.30. We provide themed stories and a craft each week. Free.

 

A new Ladies’ Friendship Club had just started, and women can join for friendship and support. Meetings take place twice monthly. Next meeting: Tuesday 31st October at 10.30 in the Library Meeting room. Come along for a cuppa and an exchange of ideas!

 

Chronic pain Ireland will give a talk on coping with long term pain in the Library Meeting room, Wed November 1st at 11am. Please contact info@chronicpain.ie or ring us at 4440561 in the library to book a free place.

 

Knitting, crochet, Crafts As the long evenings draw in, you might be interested in taking up Knitting or crochet! Call to the Library any Thursday morningfrom 10am –12pm and meet with the creative members of the Nattering Knitters Group. You may pick up some tips!

 

Team Hope Christmas Shoebox appeal: We are once again taking boxes for this worthy cause. Closing date: Nov 10th.
